Youth Archive Blogs..

Christmas Season Joys, December, 2007

We had a wonderful day Christmas eve as we took many of the youth involved in the ministry to a place called “The Shrine of our Lady of the Snows” (about 25 minutes drive from St. Louis, Mo to the state of Illinois) that has a display of over 200,000 Christmas lights throughout its campus, together with riding of camels, donkeys, and other biblical themes celebrating Christmas.

A local Catholic organization there has been sharing this annual event with the general public free of charge for the last 15 years or so and it is estimated that as many as 200,000 cars drive through the display annually. Just the viewing of the many Christmas lights and displays produces such a peace and sense of Gratitude within all those that are fortunate enough to view it..

Figurines of Sheppard’s and a wonderful Nativity scene are displayed with all the trees and bushes within view that are draped with beautiful crystal, green, red, and other colored Christmas lightings.

I would say that perhaps two hundred or more trees and bushes throughout the campus are wonderfully arrayed with beautiful stationery and “running” Christmas lights, as well as maybe 100 “stars of Bethlehem” lightings “conspicuously” placed throughout, together with countless doves, angels, and Jesus figurines cleverly placed and brilliantly shining in the display. It appeared that all of the many oak, sap, and pine trees were also covered with lighting as well.

There were cars that were lined up as far back as a mile in both directions to enter the campus, and I would imagine that it takes about 30 minutes or so for each car in the long lines to finally reach the entrance into the “Shrine”.

It takes about ten or fifteen minutes or so to slowly drive through the path of the display but the Lord gave us great favor where we were able to bypass the miles of waiting cars and ushered right to the forefront about five minutes after we arrived! The kids were really blown away by the radiance of the lights and activities, as this was their first time seeing the lights of the Shrine.. Afterwards we took them out to eat and they were still beaming about the Shrines display..

We were Amazed  amazed at the numerous out of state license plates on the cars as far away as Montana and Florida from those driving here to the East St. Louis area to view the Shrine’s display. I was told by one of the volunteers there that many from all over the country take airline flights and rent cars and vans for their own groups just to view this wonderful event. I think that it is well worth it, especially if it is shared with the youth and children.

We hope to make this a yearly event with the youth and invite some of our friends and associates abroad to share this with them..

This will also make a good Christmas Vacation because the Display has many activities that begins about 15 days before Christmas Day to the beginning of the new Year.  Call and make your reservations  to reserve one of the 78 rooms in its wonderful Hotel reservations for this inspiring event below.. God is good!!!

April 2007...

The Blessing of the Lord Makes Rich.. Proverbs 10:22..

Money From Heaven? Isaiah 45:3

Over the Last Two Months or so about 20 of our youth involved in the ministry have found money ranging from $1, $5, $10,$20, $35, and another $60. One of my associate ministers, whom is also an armed security guard found $20 after he got off work, and my associate pastor, Gary Nobles "found" $20 in his wallet as I did with $5 in mine!

This blessing and “anointing” is a result of the scriptures where God promised those whom follow hard after him would find "hidden treasures." It has and is happening in our midst! Isaiah 45:3 These gifts are for the Lords stewardship of knowing where to continue sowing. If the amount of gifts we are given does not finance our entire vision, then we understand that it is a blessing of “seed” and not a harvest, thus we do not go on a spending spree thinking that this is the finished work and blessing of the Lord..

IMany are being blessed and seeing others blessed  in not only financial miracles but also physical healing, inner peace, direction, contentment, and understanding increased!

It is just the goodness of God being poured out amongst us in all areas of our lives and it is not because we are so smart or holy. It is that we simply believe his word, pray it each day upon awakening, (Psalms 118:24) and give of our resources, trusting that God's Word is true! There is an anointing is both giving and receiving within the Peace, Purpose, and Provision Anointing, when prayer (Luke 6: 38) is initiated over each blessing and gift.

I (we) simply “respond to what God has already offered” (this is the essence of faith) by "sowing" into the lives of others with our time, prayers, and finances, and the Lord does the rest.

As we seek to "be a blessing and a channel for the blessings of God to bless others and the furthering of the Gospel of Jesus Christ", and being "other person centered", knowing that this is the order of the Kingdom posture and principles of "Peace, Purpose, and Provision", miraculous things will start happening in our lives and then we can say with assurance, "This is the Lords doing and it is marvelous in our eyes." Psalms 118:23

Just for the Fun of it..
